Putting Artwork In Fine Art America

Gizmo And Sneakers
I just finished this pet portrait for a friend at work.
I thought it would be nice to put my paintings there. It's a cool site to try different options with frames, mats, canvas and paper. Also you can make the paintings into custom cards.

                                                            Rose Breasted Gross Beak

Another of my digital painting in Fine Art America. I bought this one as a wrap-around canvas to check them out. I was pleased. It was shipped well padded, ready to hang.

                                                                          Red Dahlia

I don't paint flowers, and I don't like the color red, much. So I don't know why I had to paint these. But they were the first of many dahlias that bloomed in our garden this year. I did enjoy painting them. Who knows, it may be the start of something new for me.

My daughter drew this bee when she was in second grade. I saved it for years and thought how cute it would be on a T-shirt.
Zazzle printed this onesie that just happens to be on my granddaughter. I left the text off because you can add your own text at Zazzle.com
You can add text to much of artwork there at Zazzle to create your very own shirt even if you can't draw. I'm just getting started there but please stop by and check out my new store.
There are so many places and so many ways to sell your art online. I loved the way CafePress printed T-shirts. So soft and they lasted a long time.
They just took away the artist say in the mark-up, if they want to be in the Market Place. At first I was shocked, how could they do this to us? I spent three years working on designs and my store was starting to earn a nice income, mostly around the holidays. I had all my eggs in one basket.

So now I am testing some others online places to sell such as Red Bubble, Spreadshirt, Fine Art America and Zazzle. It looks like Zazzle has my attention for now. There is a lot to learn, so I'm reading forums... till I fall asleep. I get a kick out of "You Suck At Zazzle" on YouTube. LOL.
I have managed to get a few horse designs in my Zazzle store. Oh yea, and one bee design.
Fine Art America is a nice place to sell your art. They print your work and do all the selling and shipping part. But you can sell you original yourself though their sight.
Chuck took the neatest picture of a Rose Breasted Gross Beak in our backyard. After some Photo Shop work we loaded it in Fine Art America. We bought a 9x12 with the gallery wrap. I was pleased. It came very well protected ready to hang.

T-shirt Tuesday

Bryn Youngblut is an Entrepreneur and Affiliate Marketer. As part of his blog http://bryn.me/2008/10/28/hoof-and-paw-impressions-t-shirt-tuesday/, he writes a new T-shirt plug on Tuesdays. He is a young man with a good head on his shoulders.

I contacted him about my shop. Come to find out he had a Bearded Collie named Jazz. After he sent me a few pictures, I used PhotoShop to paint a couple of portraits of Jazz. One plain and one with a Santa hat and Candy Cane.

I put Jazz on T-Shirts and other cool stuff. I can do this because I joined CafePress and opened a shop there.

They look great together. I've been on pin and needles waiting for this day. He did a fine job writing about my shop, Thanks Bryn
Thank-You to everyone that helped make my first shop a sucsess.

Treats Only

From sister Sandy the best Paint Horse photos!
I started painting using photos more and more. Thank goodness I have many camera lovers to keep me supplied.

I'm a lot better with paint then I am with a camera. The blurry black thing is our dog Vader.

Many of my T-shirt designs in the Cafepress store Hoof And Paw Impressions, start out as Photos from friends and family. Below is my latest design featuring our White German Shepherd, Yuki.

TREATS ONLY

My daughter Kate is a never ending suppler of dog pictures. She never worries about composition or proper lighting. She just has fun with her cameras and pets. I often raid her files and beg her for the pics I like.

And tons of photos from my best friend Chuck.
Wet Feet For Chuck
After shopping on the boardwalk we just wanted to walk on the beach before heading home. Just when he wasn't watching a sneaky wave came in and soaked him. I turned around and snapped this with my Flip camcorder.

Right in our back yard.

My Painting Progress

I thought I would start showing what I'm up to, as far as painting go. Just learning digital art so any helpful comments are welcome.

Sky King

Sky King is a Dutch Warmblood and Arab cross. A special thanks to Clare, his owner who was kind enough to let me paint from her photos.
I used paint programs Twisted Brush and PhotoShop. The beautiful sunset came from one of my friend, C. Ferrara's photos from his resent trip to Florida.
